New Hampshire has no sales tax and Rhode Island exempts boats from its sales tax. Since Rhode Island exempted boats from its sales tax in 1993, boating has become one of that state's biggest industries. Should Massachusetts follow Rhode Island and exempt boats and boat accessories from its 6.25% sales tax?
